Trip to Manali – Plan

Day 1

The nearest airport to Manali is Bhuntar airport in Kullu district, but there are no frequent flights. If you need to travel by flight, then take a flight to Chandigarh or Delhi. From Delhi and Chandigarh there you can easily get a Volvo bus to Manali. I would suggest, you start early in the morning. If you are traveling from Chandigarh to Manali by Bus/Car, then It will take 7 to 8 hours to reach Manali.

As you might be tired, due to hectic traveling, you can enjoy the evening or night walk on the Manali Mall Road.

Day 2

On your second day of the trip, visit Vashisht temple, early in the morning. Dip yourself in this natural hot spring, a wondrous gift from nature to humankind. Across the Beas river, about 3km from Manali, a small village/temple Vashisht with natural sulfur springs. You will love this thing. Have a lovely breakfast and then, you can go to Solang valley for any Adventure activity.

You can also go for Rohtang Pass (make sure you have arranged Government permit on the previous day for Rohtang Pass); Solang and Rohtang are on the same route.

Day 3

On the third day, you can go to visit Hadimba & Manu Temple, shop at Old Manali Market, Clubhouse.

The Hadimba Temple is a unique shrine dedicated to Hidimba Devi, who was the wife of Bhima and the mother of Ghatothkach. Surrounded by gorgeous cedar forests, this beautiful shrine is built on a rock which is believed to be in the image of goddess Hidimba herself.
