Manali

Manali is a beautiful town snuggled in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh at a height of 2050m (6730 ft). It is a popular destination for honeymooners in North-India and trekkers around the world. Situated on the banks of the Beas River and in the north of Kullu Valley, it is an entrance for adventure activities in Solang and Kothi.

If there is one place that I need to consider to enjoy snowy mountains, beautiful landscapes, Ancient temples, apple gardens, or adventurer activities like river rafting, paragliding, and skiing, then I would go for Manali. All tourists including Locals and foreigners visit it throughout the year to gaze at its beautiful landscapes and enjoy the fun of adventure activities.

It is also a gateway to Leh Ladakh via the valley of Lahaul and Spiti and the Rohtang Pass. Most of the tourists go to Leh Ladakh via Manali; just to cover it in their Leh Ladakh itinerary.

In short, it is famous for Nature, Adventure Activities, Photography, Snowy sports, hot springs, temples, monasteries, and trekking. I think it has everything, which someone loves to enjoy during their holidays.

It is named after the Sanatan Hindu lawgiver Manu. You can also visit Manu temple situated in Old Manali and gather more knowledge about the establishment of this place.
